About me
Kurestin is an agent at Root Literary. She wants to work with creators who are creatively ambitious, whohave a whole boatload of ideas and are always pushing themselves to write what's most interesting andchallenging to them; these are the people that are always growing and writing stories that only they cantell. She wants to work with stories that remind her of what she’s always loved about books while alsoshowing her something she never could have predicted; she loves to be surprised by books. Her mainfocus is genre fiction (so speculative in some way) but Kurestin enjoys stories that range widely acrossthat spectrum. For younger readers she prefers books that make her laugh, but even for adults she likesthere to be a light somewhere in the darkness. For graphic novels she is more open to contemporarystories along with speculative, and really looks for illustrators with a strong sense of dynamic use ofpanels and movement on the page.
